A Memorial Ceremony
This is an opportunity for people to attend and celebrate the life of a loved one following a private funeral ceremony. This can be arranged 4 to 6 weeks following the funeral and is a less formal gathering of family and friends who wish to remember their loved ones without the stress of the funeral day.
This type of ceremony can be helpful if mourners are unable to attend the day of the funeral and is often more suitable for younger children to attend. Such a ceremony could take place at a favourite location and could coincide with a special anniversary or at the time of the scattering of ashes if required.
The venue would be arranged by yourself and I would assist with the planning of the ceremony. A eulogy or tribute would be uniquely written, and the service could also include readings, a moments silence, poems, music, or anything else that you might like.
There may be more of an opportunity for family and friends to speak at this type of ceremony as there will not be the same time constraints as there are with crematorium services.
